2024 Year of Reading: A Comprehensive List

Goodness, 2024 was a year! When January 1st rolled around, I decided to challenge myself to read one book for every letter of the alphabet. Little did I know this challenge would reignite my passion for reading and eventually lead to starting a book club—and this blog. But more on that another time.

For now, I’m sharing the complete list of books I read in 2024. Some I loved, some I absolutely hated, and many fell somewhere in between. With a grand total of 32 books read, you might be wondering, “Wait, there are only 26 letters in the alphabet. Why 32 books?” The answer is simple—and twofold:

  1. On multiple occasions, I forgot I’d already covered a letter and read another book for it.
  2. A few books were chosen for my book club that overlapped with letters I’d already completed.

I spent a while figuring out the best way to present this list and ultimately decided to organize it by letter, with the extra books listed at the end. And yes, I’ll admit I took a few creative liberties with how I assigned books to certain letters (mind your business!). I’ve also included the link to The StoryGraph, the author, the genre(s), and my rating.

Without further ado, here are my 2024 reads. I hope you find some gems to enjoy in 2025!
